We met in the UK in 1997 and came back to Vancouver Island in 2000 to open our first tiny cafe in Brentwood Bay.

 Two kids and nine years later we opened Zanzibar in the former location of The Carden Street Cafe which had been one of the first farm to table establishments in 

Greater Victoria.

We are honoured to continue the tradition.​

We wouldn’t be anywhere without our dedicated and accomplished team of employees or the local clientele that supports us year round.

 We are really like a great big family.

Zanzibar is conveniently located minutes from the famous Butchart Gardens and a moderate walk from the highly regarded Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa. 

Please don’t drink and drive.
